Noelia Voigt of Utah crowned Miss USA 2023 on Friday night at the Grand Sierra Resort in Reno, Nevada. Voigt beat out 50 other contestants to win the title, and will now represent the United States at the Miss Universe pageant later this year.

Voigt is a 24-year-old Venezuelan-American who is passionate about social justice and education. She is a graduate of the University of Utah, where she studied political science and communication. After college, Voigt worked as a legislative aide in the Utah State Senate before launching her own nonprofit organization, She’s the First Utah, which provides scholarships and mentorship to first-generation college students.
In her acceptance speech, Voigt spoke about the importance of diversity and inclusion in the Miss USA pageant. She also vowed to use her platform to advocate for social justice and education.
“I am so honored to be crowned Miss USA 2023,” Voigt said. “I am a first-generation college student and a daughter of immigrants. I am living proof that the American dream is still alive. I will use my platform to advocate for social justice and education, and to show the world that the United States is a country where everyone has the opportunity to succeed.”
Historic Victory for Venezuelan-American
Voigt’s victory is a historic one. She is the first Venezuelan-American to be crowned Miss USA. She is also the first Miss Utah to win the title since 1997.
Voigt’s coronation was the culmination of two days of competition, which included swimsuits, evening gowns, and on-stage interview competitions. Voigt excelled in all three categories and impressed the judges with her intelligence, poise, and beauty.
